DOCR will provide a listing of inmates in custody for public information. This is completely public information and is provided as a service to the community. It provides the following information: 'Name of the Person in Custody', 'Most Serious Offense or Charge', and 'Bail if applicable'. This list is a public service to assist the following groups: 'Relatives', 'Friends', 'Employers', 'Victims of Crimes', Law Enforcement Agencies', 'Media Representatives', and 'Members of the General Public'. Names are automatically added to the list at the time of jail booking and are removed from the list upon release.
The names recorded on this list reflect the name used during the arrest and/or booking process. This new DOCR public safety information service will develop in accuracy as the process is refined and improved upon. Our goal is to inform the community, and as many interested groups, who is in custody within DOCR on a given day. This is a work in progress and is a joint effort of the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation and the Montgomery County Department of Technology Services in support of improved public information for this community.
